30-31 January 2009, Kathmandu, Nepal

A two day conference on Gender Knowledge production and dissemination was organized on 30-31 January 2009 at Kathmandu by SAHAYOG (India) and the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT, Amsterdam) with support from International Development research Centre (IDRC), New Delhi.

This conference was the third in a series of conferences organised on this topic to review almost twenty years of international, regional and national experiences of producing, teaching and disseminating knowledge on gender for and within development institutions. The overall aim of these conferences was to generate a holistic understanding and interrogation of the kinds of gender knowledge being used and the way this is produced, communicated and disseminated in research, development practice and advocacy for development.
